Santouka Taneda was the pen-name of a Japanese “haiku” (Japanese poetry) poet. He wrote many haiku while wandering various places. He was well known for his free verse haiku, and his unique haiku are still loved in Japan today.
Yasuo Tadami, a Japanese-style and Western-style painter, was well known for unique themes and painting style. He created a number of works in a broad range of genres such as landscapes, “kachō-ga” (paintings of flowers and birds) and portraits.
