- Description
There is a certain charm about animals painted by Katsunobu Kawahito, in that they give a heartwarming atmosphere to his work. You can feel Kawahito’s own love for animals.
There are two pretty birds in this painting. We can almost hear them twittering. Although the fan-shaped screen is narrow, it doesn’t really feel that way. This is because the composition is not over crowded. The greenish birds, lush maple leaves, glaucous mountains, fern-coloured mounting fabrics ― everything gives the fresh atmosphere of summer to us.
