How to Handle Video
Kakejiku are made from silk, washi (Japanese paper), wood, and special adhesives, making them sensitive to high humidity and excessive dryness. To maintain their condition, please observe the following guidelines:
1: Avoid hanging in areas with direct air conditioner flow or excessive dryness.
2: Regularly change the display of your kakejiku to prevent damage.
3: Store the kakejiku in a dry environment.
4: Do not roll the kakejiku too tightly to avoid creasing or damage.
5: Store in a paulownia box in a stable environment, using appropriate insect repellents. Avoid using mothballs like naphthalene, as they can damage the kakejiku.
6: Perform biannual airing on clear, sunny days to maintain the kakejiku’s condition.
