A Japanese Hanging Scroll as a Gift for His Girlfriend

More and more visitors from abroad are choosing Japanese hanging scrolls (kakejiku) as souvenirs that remind them of Japan and its culture.
At ART NOMURA, we have welcomed many international customers over the years.
Among them, we would like to introduce Mr. Frank from the United States.

A Gift for His Girlfriend
Mr. Frank, who works in academia, came to Japan on a business trip.
After completing his work in Kobe, he was scheduled to attend a conference in Sendai. During a short break between his appointments, he visited our shop to look for a kakejiku as a souvenir for his girlfriend back home in the U.S.
Mr. Frank once lived in Japan and had even practiced calligraphy, which shows his deep appreciation for Japanese culture.
He was hoping to find a brightly colored landscape painting, so after asking about his budget, we proposed several kakejiku that might suit his taste.
Our Approach to Hospitality
At ART NOMURA, we never push our opinions onto our customers.
We value the time they take to think things through on their own and are always ready to provide careful and precise answers to any questions they may have.
That — is our philosophy of hospitality.
Mr. Frank carefully examined each kakejiku one by one, and after thoughtful consideration, he chose the one he felt would be most fitting for his girlfriend.
The Chosen Scroll
The scroll Mr. Frank selected was a colorful landscape painting, which he was very pleased with.

Later, he kindly left us a review — which made us truly happy.
