- Description
A green maple is drawn from the upper right to the lower left of the painting as if is floating. The maple is drawn in pale colors and gives a light impression, and it even makes you feel as if it is swaying in the wind. A clear stream flowing from the upper left to the lower right is drawn at the bottom of the painting as if it is responding to the flow of maple, and the beautiful blue color gives a cool impression. The three sweetfish are also swimming vigorously in this vigorous clear stream, and it is somehow fun. The depiction of the splashes that hit the rocks is both rough and delicate. This is a masterpiece by Sakurai Kōdō, which makes you feel the atmosphere of summer from everywhere.
