Heartwarming Visit from Indonesia – Hanging Scrolls Tie up Two Hearts
Every encounter with inbound overseas customers is absolutely stimulating for us, especially when they come from a country we have not yet had the pleasure to serve.
Let us introduce you to one such episode featuring a first-time visitor from Indonesia named Ivonny, who came seeking kakejiku.
It was immediately noticeable that she is a Muslim by the hijab covering her head. - Following Islamic teaching, Muslim women wear a cloth called hijab on their head so as not to show their hair to men.
Ivonny’s daughter is studying at a university in Japan, and she visited to see how her daughter is getting on.
As for purchasing kakejiku, she was relied on by a female friend in her country requesting and saying,
‘You are going to Japan, so I like you to go to ART NOMURA to buy kakejiku while you are there.’ and that is why she came to our store. – Her friend’s straight request sounds really something doesn’t it?
Ivonny, on a video call with the friend seemed to select kakejikus in a careful manner.
Their shopping experience was cutting edge and intriguing, selecting kakejikus as if they were together, thanks to IT technology.
Although their purchase slightly exceeded their budget, Ivonny bought two pieces. One is her friend’s favorite, a piece portraying `sparrows and bamboo` and the other was chosen by Ivonny as a gift for the friend, depicting `chrysanthemums’.
Both of the pieces she purchased are a work of art that will calms the soul of the beholder painted with delicate brushstrokes filled with ambience of Japan.
We are very much delighted to be able to capture this superb moment with all of us. Thank for her request of taking the photo.
